Employers Locating and retaining Canadian staff is a constant challenge for business. It becomes a major expense to recruit, train and get new employees into a productive mode for your business only to have them leave before they can recoup your investment.
Consider a foreign employee
Why limit your scope to local recruiting? Our candidates have solid educations from recognized schools, very good English skills, exceptional experience, and most importantly, WORK ETHIC. We can assure you that you will get a loyal, trustworthy employee who will do what it takes to succeed at your required tasks – your investment in one of our candidates will reward you many times over.
Planet Placement has been in business for over 7 years successfully sourcing candidates for Canadian business. We do all the groundwork necessary to make sure when you are introduced to one of our candidates, they meet all your criteria and have passed the necessary due diligence. Our experience and certification enables us to facilitate all necessary coordination, paperwork and approvals necessary quickly and efficiently.
Upon our initial interview, we will recommend the appropriate program to access your ideal candidate. For your information, consider the following definitions of labor that the government uses to define its immigration programs
Skilled worker – according to the NOC, the federal government national occupation classification of all possible types of work available in Canada, skilled worker falls in the 0,A, and B categories, that is those requiring post secondary (high school) education to perform the duties required of the position. This includes university, college, technical schools, trades that require apprenticeship and regional certification.
Unskilled Worker – there are no educational requirements required for immigration. In general, these workers qualify only for temporary work visas of 1-2 yrs.
Permanent Labor
If your staffing needs are long term, Planet Placement can source your ideal candidate and secure their arrival in Canada as permanent residents ready to build a new life in Canada. Skilled labor require more pre- immigration evaluation but ultimately provide a very economical solution than recruiting Canadian employees and will arrive as permanent residents Unskilled labor can be evaluated once in Canada on work visas for a permanent solution if desired.
Contract Labor
This method enables you to use foreign labor on a short term, contract basis (minimum one yr.) – skilled or unskilled. We can provide a choice of the type of candidate you require and suitable and convenient methods to meet and evaluate them.
If the candidate is desirable and you wish them to stay - Planet Placement can extend their visas or secure permanent residency for them. There is no further obligation to the candidate once their visa is expired or candidate does not perform.
In Summary: Canada is projected to become a superpower over the next few decades due to our natural resources. It follows that large labor resources will be needed to make them market ready – skilled and unskilled. It is inevitable that Canada will suffer labor shortages as our economy continues to grow – Alberta already has to recruit outside its borders. It is predicted that immigration will be the only viable way to increase the necessary labor pool needed for Canadian business to meet its goals. As an employer, you can be pro-active in ensuring that your staffing needs are met long term through international recruiting.
